Jaron Kent Nolen was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in the spring of 2001. At that time he was told his life expectancy was 3-5 years. Now, in the spring of 2021, he continues to love, laugh and have faith. The tragic disease has left him with only his facial muscles working and he is able to communicate through expressions and a computer that reads his eye movements. The suffering has not diminished his faith, but has grown it. His life is a testimony to the hope we have in God’s promised future. Through this media he shares his hopes and faith with ‘an encouraging word.’
