1. The discipline of PRAYER

"Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer your prayers and requests to God." Philippians 4:6 (CEV)

"Always be joyful and never stop praying." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (CEV)

2. The discipline of BIBLE STUDY

 "...you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living." 2 Timothy 3:15-16 (GNB)

3. The discipline of MINSITRY

 "...take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may continually fulfill it." Colossians 4:17 (NASB- margin notes)

4. The discipline of STEWARDSHIP

 "Anyone who can be trusted in little matters can also be trusted in important matters. But anyone who is dishonest in little matters will be dishonest in important matters." Luke 16:10 (CEV)

5. The discipline of LOVE and UNITY

 Everyone will know we are Christians by our love, and they will be convinced our message is right by our unity. (See John 13:35 & 17:20-21)

6. The discipline of WORSHIP

"And so, in honor of the name of Jesus all beings... will fall on their knees, and all will openly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. " Phil 2:10-11 (GNB)

These 6 areas are lived out in faith, and demonstrated by three essential parts of the Christian life.....

1. Believe!

 "...believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved..." Acts 16:31  (GNB)

 2. Belong!

 "...you are now fellow citizens with God's people and members of the family of God." Ephesians 2:19  (GNB)

3. Become!

 "Those whom God had already chosen he also set apart to become like his Son..." Romans 8:29  (GNB)
